Applus+ Technologies and the Vehicle Emissions Testing Course

Applus+ Technologies is a global leader in the vehicle emissions inspection industry. In the U.S. alone, Applus has delivered comprehensive vehicle emissions testing programs that collectively represent more than 2,800 testing facilities, more than 20,000 Applus trained and certified emissions inspectors, and more than seven million vehicle tests per year. Applus trains all employees to mandated requirements.

To become certified, inspectors must take and pass all components of the Vehicle Emissions Testing Course. This course is designed for employees working in the Illinois Vehicle Emissions Testing Program.

Applus+ Technologies Vehicle Emissions Testing

	The components of the course include:

	• Module 1: Vehicle Emissions Testing Program Overview
	• Module 2: Introduction to Lane Inspection: The Applus Way
	• Module 3: Providing Exceptional Service: The Applus Way
	• Hands-on training administered at a designated station
	• Certification testing administered at a designated testing location

After passing the exam, you become a certified inspector. Once certified, Station Management will continue to observe you. Audits will be performed to ensure proper procedures are being followed at all times.
